HOWEVER, the club has recognised the difficulty we face and the Commodore, Rich Price, a Wanderer owner himself, has kindly invited WCOA members to turn up as planned on the Saturday morning and take part, as guests, in their usual Saturday handicap racing.
The club’s Commodore, Rich Price, has invited us to this club in an unusual setting – the non-tidal harbour in Bristol Docks downstream from the SS Great Britain. The club has no premises (apart from changing rooms), instead using the adjacent Cottage Inn for feeding and watering.
This is our plan for the weekend.
Saturday
10:00 Registration
10:30 Safety briefing
11:00 First race (Head of the Harbour)
13:30 Two back-to-back races
16:00 Prize giving
Dinner at The Cottage Inn for 18:00. Please email Philip@brandmasters.co.uk if you would like to be included.
Cruise to the Arnolfini for a light lunch. Setting off around 11:30 (this time is flexible if people wish to leave Bristol early).
There is no problem with parking cars or trailers. And the dinghies can be sorted in our compound overnight. However, due to long term road works Cumberland Road is one way. You can access from the east, from Bedminster Bridge Roundabout.
The RYA have allowed us use of their shower facilities adjacent to the club.
We have a full set of joining instructions on our website.
