The Wanderer National Championships 2017 are returning to the sheltered waters of Langstone Harbour for the late May Bank Holiday weekend. The fantastic Langstone Harbour Race Weekend hosted by Tudor SC, Locks SC and Langstone SC offer a great weekend of sailing within the harbour itself, with great socials in the evenings after racing finishes, hosted at each club in turn. Tudor SC is just off the M27 near Gosport and is very easy to get to.
The WCOA National Championships will be two days, but we can join in the racing on the Monday Bank Holiday. Separate starts for the fast and medium fleets, with those classes large enough having their own starts keeps things relatively calm on the start line. With relatively short days on the water and plenty of time to bask in the sunshine enjoying pre and post-race socials, chatting, drinking and eating with friends.
Boat launch and storage facilities for visitors to the regatta are at Tudor SC where there’s a good slipway and roomy secure dinghy park facilities for storing your boat and trailer.
Wanderer racing is relaxed and friendly, with people of all ages and abilities enjoying gently competitive sailing in what we believe to be the best 14’ three sail multipurpose sailing dinghy there is…..come and join us at Langstone Harbour Race Weekend.
Langstone SC are offering FREE camping to competitors, but have asked all campers to pre-book via the online registration form or by mailing a paper copy in advance. Motor-homes are welcome at both Tudor SC and Langstone SC.
